"The Galileo Guy" Presentations

The Galileo Guy offers:

• Presentations appropriate for students in grades 3 to 8.
• A typical segment lasts about one hour and includes slides and a question and answer period.
• Some programs include hands-on activities.
• Teacher mentoring for science curriculum includes information on teaching astronomy, plus updated materials on current sky events.
• Working in conjunction with the Los Angeles Astonomical Society the Galileo Guy also sponsers "Star Parties" where students, faculty, and parents get an opportunity to come out and see the moon, stars, and planets through telescopes.
• Presentations by The Galileo Guy are offered on a sliding scale based on the need of individual schools or organizations.
